Strategies
How a space counts each voter's power.
A strategy is how a space counts voting power. Each one reads something about an address, as it stood when the proposal was published, and turns it into power. A space can combine up to 10: an address's power is the sum.
Common strategies
| Strategy | What counts |
|---|---|
| Token balance | The tokens an address holds, or stakes, on a network. |
| Delegation | The power others delegate to the address. |
| One vote per address | Every address the same: one. |
| Allow list | Only the listed addresses, each with its own power. |
Raad names each strategy from its own settings, for example "UNI balance", with its technical name beside it. Two that would read the same say their network: "QUICK balance on Polygon". Many more strategies exist for specific protocols: pick them from the list in Settings.
When power is counted
When the proposal is published: Raad reads every balance as it stood at that moment (the blockchain's block at that time). Buying or moving tokens during a vote does not change anyone's power for it.
Choosing and checking
Add, edit and remove strategies in Settings under Voting. Before you save, test an address to see what it would get.
