Create a space

A space is your community's home: name, network, strategies, quorum.

What a space needs

  • An ENS name to live under, like yourdao.eth. It is the space's id, in every link to it. The account that controls the name controls the space's admins.
  • A network: the chain your token lives on.
  • At least one strategy: how voting power is counted. See Strategies.
  • A quorum: the voting power a proposal needs. See Quorum.

The three steps

  1. Identity: the name, a description, a category and an avatar.
  2. Voting: the network, the strategies and their validations, the voting period and the quorum. Validations follow the same rules as Settings.
  3. Review: everything at a glance, before you create.

After it exists

Everything you chose can change later in Settings. To bring a space that already runs elsewhere, with its history, see Import a space.
