FAQ

Short answers to the questions people ask first.

Does voting cost anything?

No. A vote is a signature, not a transaction. Only delegating costs a network fee (gas), once. See Signing is free.

My wallet asks for a transaction or a token approval

Stop, and reject it in your wallet. Voting on Raad is a free signature: your wallet shows a message to sign, never a transaction, a fee or a token approval. The only transaction on Raad is delegating, and only when you choose Delegate yourself. Raad never asks for your recovery phrase either.

Which wallets work?

Browser wallets, and wallets on your phone through WalletConnect.

Why is my voting power 0?

Your power is counted as it stood when the proposal was published, with the space's strategies. Tokens you got later, or tokens on another network, do not count for that proposal.

Can I change my vote?

Yes, while the vote is open. The last vote you sign counts.

Who can see my vote?

Everyone: votes are public, with the address, the choice, the power and the reason.

Can Raad change a result?

No. Every vote is signed by its voter, and anyone can check the signatures and count the result again from Raad's public data.

Is Raad up?

The status page shows whether the app and the services behind it (the hub, the sequencer, scores) answer, and how fast, checked about every 30 seconds.

Is there an API?

Yes: read everything at hub.raad.vote/graphql, and send signed messages to the sequencer.

Where do addresses get their names?

From ENS: Raad shows an address's primary ENS name, only when that name points back to the address. Otherwise it shows the short address, with the full one in its tooltip.

How do I bring my space to Raad?

See Moving to Raad.
